- Provides repair, maintenance, and service of Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems according to building codes and standards.
- Conducts routine inspections.
- Maintains inventory through planning and purchasing and responds to work requests in a timely manner in a Total Maintenance System (TMS).
- Supervises inmate workers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the facility.
- May respond to emergency callbacks for service on a rotating basis.
- May assist in other areas of Building and Grounds department, including preventative maintenance, construction projects, equipment repair, electrical, welding, carpentry, electronics, or outside maintenance.
- Working knowledge of the installation, repair, and maintenance practices for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
- Demonstrated skill in the use of tools and supplies related to the trade.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise the work of others.
- Demonstrated ability to keep narrative and statistical records relating to the maintenance and repair of equipment.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge in web-based HVAC control systems.
- Knowledge in mini-split system, split systems, and package units.
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs and Gmail or preventative maintenance programs and knowledge in multiple trades experience.
