A Brief Overview

CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for both preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance work and minimal installations with our client.

What you will do
  • Perform preventive and some corrective maintenance services to existing HVAC equipment from work orders generated through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), and document all work performed in compliance with CMMS data collection procedures.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, engines, pumps, belts, fans, air handling units, Variable Air Volume systems, and fan‑powered boxes.
  • Maintain safe operation of systems including electronic/pneumatic environmental controls, oil/gas‑fired water‑tube boilers, and auxiliary equipment such as pumps, de‑aerating tanks, and air compressor blowers.
  • Examine environmental control and stationary systems to diagnose problems using proper inspection, testing, and monitoring techniques while exhibiting safe and proper use of tools.
  • Become familiar with the design and layout of facilities to locate installed environmental control and monitoring systems and understand operating procedures.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and according to the standards of CGL Facility Management, LLC, OSHA, and clients.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance with local building and safety codes.
  • Escort subcontractors during completion of their work at the site.
  • Perform other preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as directed by CGL Facility Management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace during and after maintenance tasks.
  • Complete all required compliance, safety, and developmental training as assigned.
  • Assist in training other technicians, providing mentorship, oversight, and direction.
  • Drive for the company using either a company vehicle or a personal/rental vehicle for more than 50% of the time.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of commercial or residential HVAC maintenance experience.
  • Good working knowledge of HVAC equipment and at least one of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or general building maintenance.
  • Ability to read blueprints and as‑built drawings.
  • Willingness and ability to work occasional on‑call shifts.
  • Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Certifications may be required (EPA 608 Certification required; HVAC Certification preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record in the state of employment.
  • Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug test, criminal background check, and a physical abilities test.
  • Self‑motivated, team player who can multitask, prioritize, and communicate effectively with clients.
Compensation

$1,000 Sign‑On Bonus is available for successful candidates.
