Job DutiesPerform daily duties of a large farm operation to include daily management of beef cattle herd. Provides maintenance of buildings, grounds, roadways and the operation and maintenance of all farm equipment utilizing inmate workforce. Provide training, supervision and evaluation to inmate workforce while performing all farm tasks.
Minimum QualificationsGeneral knowledge of crop production from planting to harvest, maintenance and operation of farm equipment, building construction and land management. Demonstrated ability to operate farm equipment and demonstrated ability to supervise, follow written and oral instructions, keep accurate records and solve practical problems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Additional Considerations- Agricultural, construction or equipment experience.
- Pesticide Application Permit and Artificial Insemination or the ability to obtain them.
- Possession of Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one.
