Construction Manager/ Foreman, Electrician/ Electrician Installation
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale data center construction projects in the Richmond, Virginia area. This role is responsible for managing all on-site electrical installation activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mission‑critical electrical construction, proven leadership experience, and the ability to oversee multiple crews while coordinating closely with project management and other trades.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise all on-site electrical construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
- Promote and maintain a culture where safety and quality are the highest priorities.
- Review and fully understand project drawings, specifications, schedules, and installation requirements.
- Coordinate with the Project Management team on procurement, material deliveries, manpower planning, scheduling, and project execution.
- Monitor installation quality and ensure all work complies with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
- Manage, mentor, and develop field supervisors, foremen, and electricians.
- Prepare takeoffs and pricing for change orders and additional project scope.
- Monitor productivity, identify opportunities for improvement, and adjust manpower and schedules to maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors to maintain project progress.
- Conduct regular site walks, safety meetings, and progress updates.
- Ensure accurate documentation of daily activities, manpower, production, and project milestones.
- Current Electrical Journeyman License, a four‑year engineering degree, or an equivalent combination of technical training and electrical field experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of electrical construction experience, including significant supervisory responsibility.
- Hyperscale data center experience is highly preferred.
- Experience managing electrical scopes valued between $20M and $100M is preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification, or the ability to obtain it.
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, manpower planning, labor productivity, and cost control.
- Ability to perform material takeoffs and develop pricing for change orders.
- Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with construction technology and standard office software.
- Must successfully pass a post‑offer background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening.
