Job DutiesProvides repair, maintenance, and service of HVAC systems according to building codes and standards. Conducts routine inspections. Maintains inventory through planning and purchasing, and responds to work requests in a timely manner in a Total Maintenance System (TMS). Supervises inmate workers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the facility. May respond to emergency callbacks for service on a rotating basis.
May assist in other areas of Building and Grounds department, including preventative maintenance, construction projects, equipment repair, electrical, welding, carpentry, electronics, or outside maintenance.
- Working knowledge of the installation, repair, and maintenance practices for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
- Demonstrated skill in the use of tools and supplies related to the trade.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise the work of others.
- Demonstrated ability to keep narrative and statistical records relating to the maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge in web‑based HVAC control systems.
- Knowledge in mini‑split system, split systems, and package units.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and knowledge in multiple trades experience.
