The RoleThe Field Service Technician is the face of Chemstar WATER to our customers. You will maintain and optimize cooling systems, boilers, cooling towers, potable systems, direct evaporative cooling equipment, and heat exchangers, ensuring water quality and equipment uptime. You will conduct water testing, analysis, and consultation, working closely with our Technical and Commercial teams to exceed customer expectations.
What You’ll Do- Execute the scope of work for each customer site, planning visits with the right PPE, parts, and chemicals
- Test, analyze, and document water samples in the Chemstar online reports app, adjusting chemical feed rates as needed
- Service and maintain equipment
, including pumps, chemical tanks, controllers, boilers, and cooling towers - Build relationships with customers at every level, from operators to decision-makers, identifying improvement opportunities and growth
- Manage chemical inventory at customer sites to minimize delivery frequency
- Follow all safety protocols at Chemstar WATER and customer locations
- Submit service and lab reports within 24 hours, respond to communications within one business day, and address missed services within 48 hours
- Maintain a clean, professional company vehicle and keep your digital calendar current
100% testing and reporting compliance, strong customer relationships across every account, accurate documentation that supports proper billing, and clear communication of risks when customers delay recommended actions.
What You Bring- A 2 year industrial degree or 3+ years of water treatment or field service experience
- Strong problem solving in ambiguous situations
- Openness to feedback and a drive to learn
- Familiarity with Association of Water Technologies testing standards, or willingness to learn, plus basic plumbing and electrical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in hot environments, and climb ladders to rooftops
- Clean background – required for government sites
- Valid driver’s license and U.S. citizenship – required for government sites
