Service Technician

Job Description

H&M Sales and Service INC. is conveniently located in North Chesterfield, VA and we are looking to hire additional service technicians. We are a family owned and operated business. We work with medical and lab equipment. Buying, selling, installing, and repairing. This person will be essential to our team. The applicant must have a driver's license with own reliable transportation and a clean driving record.

They must display a positive attitude, good personality. Must work well with others. This person needs to be responsible and reliable.

The applicant should have basic tool knowledge. They should have mechanical and electrical knowledge. Must know how to use voltmeter. A construction background is a plus. Must be able to lift at least 50-100lbs. We install lab equipment including fridges, freezer, and incubators. Installing lab furniture, case work, shelves etc. Also, we work installing fume hoods and duct work and keeping them maintained.

This person will also need to work on our medical repair side, with picking up and delivering, doing repairs (willing to train) and doing preventative maintenance at customer offices. Will train on autoclaves.

The position is M-F from 7:00am-4:30pm. There is also overnight and out of town jobs a few times monthly depending on the schedule. Out of town jobs may require earlier start. With the possibility of working on a few Saturdays a year. After six months 1 weeks’ vacation paid and 5 sick days with no rollover will be offered and after 90 days insurance possibilities.

Starting at $ 19.00 with the chance of a raise. And an additional week paid vacation after a year.
