Key performance areas include:

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and/or electrical aspects of underground mining equipment and components at high profile mining sites.
• New equipment commissioning and training at customer sites with minimal supervision.
• Inspecting equipment for proper performance and determining faults and malfunctions.
• Adjusting equipment and repairing/replacing defective parts components or systems according to scopes of work.
• Testing repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance.
• Completing accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists.
• Actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Staying current with the industry, customer, product developments and technical best practices.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Staying current and in compliance with all Sandvik, Customer, State, and Federal regulatory safety policies.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction within the area of primary responsibility.

The Field Service Technician will spend their time working in surface mining, so candidates must be comfortable with these conditions. As this role requires travel, you will be provided with a company vehicle. There are multiple sites assigned to this role, from 30 minutes away to 2 hours away. Typically you will be home for overnights unless called out of state for coverage.

Location:

Virginia, MN area - multiple sites

Travel Requirements:
At least 50% of time, via truck or air

Compensation Range: $40.00 to $48.00/hour

Schedule:

Typically 40 hours/week, but subject to overtime as needed.

Work authorization:
Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship.
