A1 Door Company is looking for a motivated Technician Apprentice to join our Richmond team.

No garage door experience is required. If you're mechanically inclined, dependable, willing to learn, and enjoy working with your hands, we'll teach you the garage door industry and give you a clear path to becoming a Residential Service Technician.

• Work alongside experienced garage door technicians
• Learn to diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential garage doors and openers
• Assist technicians with service calls and repairs
• Learn proper use of tools, equipment, and industry-specific techniques
• Develop troubleshooting and mechanical skills
• Learn A1 Door Company's customer service and safety standards
• Complete hands-on training designed to prepare you to become a technician

• No garage door experience required
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Dependable and able to show up on time
• Professional attitude and good communication skills
• Comfortable working on ladders and performing physical work
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Experience in construction, automotive, HVAC, electrical, maintenance, mechanical work, or another skilled trade is a plus, but not required.

$20–$25 per hour depending on experience
