Skilled Laborer
Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is accepting applications for Skilled Laborers to join our team.
Qualifications- Work in outdoor environments during all seasons
- Comfortable working alongside heavy equipment and able to communicate with operators, workers and pedestrians
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces with safety equipment and training
- Moderate to heavy lifting (more than 15 pounds) and frequent pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing and squatting
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools
- Must pass pre‑employment physical/drug screening
- Perform flagging, traffic closures and related tasks as assigned
- Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support sides of excavations, clear rubble and debris, and remove waste materials
- Install erosion and sediment controls, such as silt fence, super silt fence and gutter buddies
- Willingness to perform manual labor supporting projects
- Wear safety toe boots, long pants and shirts with four‑inch sleeves
- Use required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, class 3 vests and gloves) provided by the company
- Work on a variety of tasks within any given day
- Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customers and co‑workers
Job Type: Full‑Time, Year‑Round

Working Hours:
Start varies between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM. Overtime, nights and weekends may be required.
