Position: FAMILY SERVICES COORDINATOR

Family Services Coordinator - Central Shenandoah Valley Office on Youth

Are you passionate about empowering families and building a stronger community? The Central Shenandoah Valley Office on Youth is seeking a dedicated and professional Family Services Coordinator to lead our Parenting Division.

The Role:

You will be the driving force behind essential parenting programs delivered throughout our community, including local shelters and the jail. You won't just be facilitating programs; you will be a vital resource for parents, a collaborator on community boards.

What You’ll Do:
  • Coordinate and facilitate eight evidence-based parenting classes.
  • Provide case management and "wrap-around" support to parents in need.
  • Serve as a community liaison on various youth and family boards.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on local resources to assist families in crisis.

Qualifications:
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate's Degree with coursework in human services or related fields.
  • 1–2 years of experience in programs working with youth and families.
  • A valid Virginia Driver’s License, criminal background check, and drug screen are required.
