The current opening is in the Initial Intervention Unit in the Virginia office, supervising social workers who conduct assessments and investigations, safety planners, and support staff.
The salary range reflected above is the normal hiring range for 2025. The full salary range, including longevity pay, is $35.91 - $57.14 per hour. 2026 rates are currently pending.
This position is part of the Merit System Supervisory Unit Employees Collective Bargaining Agreement represented by the Arrowhead Public Service Union.

An employee in this class is responsible for interpreting and assessing policies and the supervising assigned staff. Duties include reviewing case records; monitoring program services; participating in community meetings; writing and monitoring service contracts; maintaining records; supervising staff and services in one or more program area(s). The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff.

- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in social work AND two (2) years of full-time paid verifiable experience as a social worker; OR a Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field (psychology, sociology, human services) AND three (3) years of full-time paid verifiable experience as a social worker; OR a Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field AND five (5) years of full-time paid verifiable experience as a social worker;
OR graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in social work, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, human services administration or a closely related field AND one (1) year of full-time paid verifiable experience as a social worker. - Possession of a valid driver’s license.
