POSITION SUMMARY:

FACETS is looking for a mission-driven Case Manager Supervisor & Hypothermia Shelter Supervisor for the Adult-Only Housing Stabilization Program to join our team. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a hypothermia-specific emergency shelter and managing a team of part-time and full-time staff dedicated to the Housing Stabilization Program. This hybrid role involves direct service provision, crisis management, and leadership to ensure both shelter clients and housing stabilization program participants receive the necessary support and resources to achieve long-term housing stability.

The position includes supervising 30 part-time seasonal staff and 3 full-time staff members, requiring strong team coordination and communication skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hypothermia Emergency Shelter Oversight & Client Services:
  • Supervise a diverse team of shelter staff, ensuring that they provide high-quality, trauma-informed services to clients experiencing homelessness during the winter season, when hypothermic conditions pose a threat to safety and well‑being.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure shelter staff adhere to shelter policies, safety standards, and hypothermia‑specific emergency protocols.
  • Monthly group supervision.
  • Oversee the intake process for clients, ensuring it is swift, low-barrier, and non-judgmental, particularly during periods of severe cold weather.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de‑escalation support for clients, including those with behavioral or health‑related challenges.
  • Ensure clients have access to warm shelter, meals, and other essential services, while linking them to longer‑term resources such as housing programs, health services, and employment support.
Adult‑Only Housing Stabilization Program Leadership:
  • Supervise full‑time staff members who provide case management, housing navigation, and other stabilization services to program participants.
  • Ensure that all team members are trained in best practices for housing stabilization, including housing‑first principles and the unique needs of individuals transitioning out of emergency shelter.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of individualized housing stabilization plans for program participants.
  • Monitor participant progress toward housing stability, offering guidance and support as needed.
  • Facilitate coordination between housing stabilization staff, shelter staff, and community partners to address client needs and ensure timely housing placements.
  • Managing the BNL for the team and hypothermia program and leading team meetings.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment for the Housing Stabilization team.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Ensure appropriate caseload distribution and manage staff workloads to prevent burnout.
  • Track and report on program outcomes, including housing placements, retention rates, and client engagement.
  • Prepare regular reports for internal use, stakeholders, and funders.
  • Participate in program evaluation efforts, identifying areas for improvement to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure the shelter operates in accordance with hypothermia emergency protocols, including cold‑weather preparedness plans and immediate response to weather‑related health concerns.
