Full‑Time Human Trafficking Client Service Advocate

The Client Services Advocate is responsible for providing client-centered crisis intervention, safety planning, supportive counseling, case management, and referrals for child and adult survivors of violence. The Advocate must be able to deliver agency services and initiatives in a culturally sensitive manner specific to the person’s race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression.

The Client Services Advocate works as a member of the Human Trafficking Residential Program to provide services in the emergency shelter. The Client Services Advocate reports directly to the Human Trafficking Program Manager.

Schedule
  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Every other Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to residents in a confidential shelter
  • Ensure the safety and security of the program
  • Update client and agency records daily and provide regular reports
  • Represent Safe Harbor at designated meetings
  • Participate in monthly supervision
  • Assist with daily living activities
  • Facilitate a structured environment
  • Respond appropriately during crisis
  • Demonstrate commitment to agency mission
  • Demonstrate knowledge and adherence to agency core values and staff governing values
  • Attend all required agency meetings and events
  • Participate in regular training to enhance knowledge and skills, per accreditation criteria
  • Assist other staff members on projects as needed

    Lead their assigned volunteer teams and interns, including training and supervising them
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field preferred, including Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or a related field
  • Relevant experience working with survivors of trauma, human trafficking, domestic violence, or other vulnerable populations strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and crisis intervention skills; ability to work independently; maintain confidentiality
  • Pass background check and fingerprinting
  • Required to work evening, overnight, weekend and holiday hours
  • Must have reliable transportation

Pay: $19.00 per hour.
