Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated School Counselor to join a supportive school district in the Fredericksburg, VA area. This is a great opportunity for a counselor who is passionate about supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally while working alongside teachers, administrators, families, and other school professionals.

The School Counselor will provide direct counseling services to students and help promote a positive, supportive school environment. Responsibilities may include individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, academic and career guidance, and collaboration with school staff and families.

• Provide individual and small-group counseling services
• Support students with academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs
• Assist students with goal setting, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
• Participate in student support meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Communicate with teachers, administrators, parents, and guardians
• Provide crisis intervention and appropriate student referrals when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow district and state guidelines
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

• Master’s degree in School Counseling or a related field
• Valid or eligible Virginia School Counselor license/certification
• Previous school-based counseling experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel
