Sr. Software Engineer

Serco is searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). In this role, you’ll design, develop, test, and maintain mission-critical applications used to administer Medicare and health insurance enrollment.

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience developing Java applications.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, and other open-source frameworks.
• Familiarity with APIs, Git, Maven, and SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• AWS certification.
• Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies.
• Docker or Kubernetes experience.

• Design, develop, test, and implement software applications.
• Support and install software applications and operating systems.
• Participate in testing processes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot application issues.
• Provide technical support to other team members.
• Work independently and collaboratively on complex projects.
