Software Developer, Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Software Developer to work on a cross-functional team of developers, testers, cloud engineers, and security engineers to develop and sustain a large, mission-critical, user-facing application and associated services and data flows. The application is a large-scale structured data search and discovery tool running in an AWS environment with broad mission adoption.
This is an onsite role in Chantilly, VA.

• Maintain the existing codebase and extend it as the data and user base continue to grow
• Present innovative solutions to harden the applications, improve resiliency, reduce costs, and accelerate speed of delivery to mission customers

• Active TS/SCI with FS Poly

• Experience writing applications and services in Java, and at least one of Python, JavaScript, or Ruby
• Experience developing applications and services to run in a cloud-native environment
• Experience working with containers and associated technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Experience using relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL; document databases such as Elasticsearch or Solr; or big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, or Spark
• Experience developing on, and delivering applications for, a Linux-based environment
• Experience using Git and working on cross-functional teams with Git-based workflows
• Experience working on cross-functional teams in an agile environment

• Experience with AWS
