Job Description
We are currently seeking an Sr AEM front‑end developer consultant for our Ashburn, VA location to be a part of our amazing team who will transform the way we look at front‑end code. We're a disciplined and passionate team that will write world‑class code for the website.
Responsibilities- Work in a collaborative team environment on the development of our digital application (desktop/mobile/tablet) and other applications.
- Self‑starter excited to learn and improve skillset in the ever‑evolving medium of the web.
- Develop cross‑browser and cross‑device solutions that work in multiple browsers (IE 8+, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) on both Mac & PC and mobile devices (tablets & smartphones).
- Participate in discussions with clients and team members about technical best practices and help teams identify optimal technical solutions.
- Work collaboratively with the team and participate in discussions focusing on best practices, user experience, functional requirements, and more.
- Portfolio to accompany resume.
- Minimum 6 years experience on Adobe AEM component development using Sightly.
- Hands‑on development experience with AEM 6.x versions, familiar with Touch UI component development and Sling model development.
- Overall view of the AEM technology stack including Java Content Repository (API) suite, Sling web framework, Apache Felix OSGi framework, DAM, and workflows.
- Java development skills, including using Eclipse IDE with Maven plugins.
- Experience with developing, building and installing AEM content packages.
- Experience with Java concepts and patterns such as Java/J2EE, JSP, Spring, Sling, JMS, JUnit, MVC, Eclipse, and Maven.
- Experience with continuous integration and automated test execution and building tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, Selenium, or Maven.
- Experience working with creative Web design teams to implement Web designs in CQ5: templating sites using CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, AJAX, and HTML.
- Experience with implementation of personalization using Adobe Target, Context Hub, etc., and expertise with Experience fragments and Content fragments.
- Working knowledge of AWS, CICD, Agile development, Git Hub, and related tools.
- Strong knowledge of accessibility/SEO guidelines and best practices.
- Past experience with Adobe Target.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, HTL, and component building in Adobe Experience Manager 6.4.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Portfolio to accompany resume.
- Background check and reference checks required upon hire.
