Job Title: Senior Azure ETL Developer (HYBRID)

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: 12+ Months

The client is looking for a Senior Azure ETL developer to ingest, transform, and load data assets and implement a cloud‑based data management platform that will support the agency. This role is expected to take a senior developer role within the team, to extract business data and load it into a data warehousing environment. Design and test the performance of the system.

Consult with various teams to understand the company’s data storage needs and develop data warehousing options. Be well‑versed in warehousing architecture techniques such as MOLAP, ROLAP, ODS, DM, and EDW.

• Experience in designing, building, and deploying scalable Azure cloud‑based data solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, and other data sources.
• Hands‑on experience in SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), Oracle, T‑SQL, Azure SQL Database, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
• Hands‑on experience in deploying and maintaining large‑scale data processing pipelines.
• Hands‑on scripting experience with Windows and/or Python, Linux Shell scripting.
• Experience in data analysis and providing cloud‑based technical solutions.
• Experience working on both on‑prem and cloud‑based data solutions.
• Experience in querying and analyzing small and large data sets to discover patterns and deliver meaningful insights.
• Work with data architects, data engineers, business analysts, and business teams to provide Azure data‑driven solutions.
• Experience in Azure Dev Ops, or Continuous Integration/Delivery.
• Well‑versed with Agile practices.
• Familiarity with C# and .Net is a huge plus.
