Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, Backend Developer
The Software Developer/Engineer will perform hands-on software development and integration for the WDP System's software components, including infrastructure, data tools, and user interfaces. This person will translate system engineering designs into robust software designs, and then design, implement, and maintain source code, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and Configuration-as-Code. This person will write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards, create comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality, and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
This person will troubleshoot and resolve software defects, optimize code for performance and scalability, and integrate with APIs and external systems. This person will implement security best practices in code development, collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement user interfaces, and work with database specialists to design and implement data models. This person will document code, APIs, and technical designs, participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups, and stay current with emerging technologies and development practices.
- SECRET Security Clearance Required
- CSSLP, GSEC, or Security+ cerification (for Junior / Journeyman roles)
- CISSP-ISSAP certification (for Senior role)
- We are actively seeking multiple levels:
- Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
- Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
- Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
- Good communication skills, self-starter mindset.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.

- Salary at Avalore is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combinaition of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
- Salary estimates for this job range from $107,000 - $220,000.
