Director, Full-Stack Engineer As a Director, Full-stack Engineer at Capital One, you will lead high-performing engineering teams working to define the future of banking in the cloud. You will partner closely with product managers, designers, architects and executive leaders to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions. * What You’ll Do:

***** Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product-focused software engineers
* Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on your team.
* Work with product managers to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
* Continuously improve software engineering practices
* Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack development tools and technologies
* Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
* Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
* Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity
* Work across to improve the velocity of your and other teams
* Lead efforts to deploy new and existing applications into AWS environments
* Oversee and guide the technical implementation of breaking existing monolithic applications into microservice architectures and build new microservices
* Shape long-term technical strategy and architecture standards for enterprise platforms
* Partner with senior engineering and business leaders to align product roadmaps with scalable technology capabilities
* Drive talent strategy, ensuring succession planning, skill development, and equitable opportunity across engineering teams

* Basic Qualifications:

***** Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering)
* At least 5 years of people management experience
* At least 7 years of experience in all of the following:  + Software engineering and solution architecture  + Enterprise architecture and design patterns  + Cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)  + Data architecture

* Preferred Qualifications:

***** Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
