Assistant Superintendent

Evergreen Country Club is located in Haymarket Virginia, and is one of the leading private membership clubs in Northern Virginia. Known for its challenging, beautifully maintained golf course, Evergreen offers a full range of recreational and social amenities as well.

We are looking for a highly motivated and polished Assistant Superintendent
. Applicant must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, keen eye for detail, willingness to learn and desire to advance in the golf industry. Must possess strong communication skills and be able to work within a team oriented environment alongside the Superintendent, Mechanic and grounds staff. Duties include but are not limited to: chemical and fertilizer applications, daily course setup, hand watering, irrigation repair, and crew supervision.

• A passion for the turf industry with a strong desire to excel and continue career.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for managing turf in the mid-Atlantic.
• Willing to take directions and provide clear and concise communication to staff.
• Possess the ability to coordinate and complete tasks with little to no supervision.
• Able to recognize, communicate, and navigate problems.
• Maintain high performance standards.
