Non-Teaching Rate – $15 per hour;
Personal Training Rate – 45% commission per session.

The Person al Trainer sets goals, develops personalized exercise programs, provides training for safe use of equipment, and assists members during workouts to promote a lifelong health and fitness program. Reports to the Spa & Fitness Director.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Blue Star standards and policies are upheld.
- Monitor facility for member and guest use and maintain safety.
- Meet with members to discuss lifestyle, fitness goals and design personalized routines.
- Maintain client confidentiality and use universal precautions.
- Create safe, effective, engaging exercise programs tailored to client needs.
- Engage clients during sessions and discuss interests and concerns.
- Provide in-depth training for safe equipment use; report incidents.
- Create and maintain client cards, fitness programs, and workout notes.
- Work assigned schedule, begin and end sessions on time, clean equipment.
- Build and maintain client base; collaborate on sales strategy with Director.
- Stay current with facility calendar and participate in events, activities, seminars.
- Promote total facility experience by suggesting programs and activities.
- Know spa services and suggest complementary treatments.
- Assist staff with lifting equipment and preparing for special events.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- One year customer service or personal trainer experience (preferred).
- Certified personal trainer by ACE, AFFA, ASCM, NSCA, or NSPA.
- Current First Aid, CPR/AED and other required certifications.
- Computer literate.
- Strong listening, motivating, and communication skills.
- Demonstrate equipment use and safety.
- Ability to lift 45‑pound weight plates.
- Ability to lead a class and maintain focus on client movements.
- Ability to write client notes and reports.
- Professional appearance, discretion, and manner.
- Keep updated on industry trends.
- Explain and promote other facility services.
- Initiative, independent decision‑making, and high standards.
- Comfortable in fast‑paced environment with flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends; limited travel.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Indoors with individual clients in the fitness area; moderate to loud noise level.
Physical DemandsPhysically active with standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching; lift up to 45 pounds; require vision, hearing, speaking, and directional skills.
