Seasonal Delivery Propane Driver

SUMMARY

This position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations. The role demands a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, Customer Service, and Employee Teamwork. Deliveries are made in all types of weather and conditions. Overtime is possible during the heating season.

• Achieve delivery objectives set by the local District Manager.
• Inspect the vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
• Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane to and from specified destinations.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operate the truck in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Engage in daily interaction with customers and provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist with sales initiatives.
• Perform responsibilities in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours and weekend emergency deliveries.
• Ensure all DOT requirements are met at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including yard and plant maintenance or dock work.

• Prior gas delivery experience helpful.
• CDL license with Hazmat, tanker, and air brakes endorsements required.
• Minimum 2‑year CDL license.
• High school diploma.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with existing and potential customers.
• Flexibility to work outside of the basic job description.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Desire to succeed and advance in a team environment.

• Pass pre‑employment DOT physical, drug test, and Homeland Security background check.
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from the plant manager.
• Must be capable of frequently lifting 50‑60 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather and driving conditions.

• Drive company vehicles and operate in the field, entering customers’ homes and/or places of business.
• Work in hot attics or cold places while maintaining a positive attitude toward customers.
• Occasionally exposed to small working spaces, fumes, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
• Encounter extreme weather conditions.
• Under general supervision, deliver propane to customer locations efficiently, punctually, and safely while maintaining and improving customer satisfaction.
