Duties & Responsibilities
*** Hold or is able to acquired DOT Inspector certification and class A CDL and able to apply skills to improve CSA scores on the equipment serviced.
* Determines vehicle condition and deficiencies of tractors, trailers, straight trucks and combos, pickup trucks, automotive equipment, tires and is able to trouble shoot and repair.
* Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules.
* Proficient in welding.
* Ensure equipment complies with federal and state vehicle requirements.
* Is responsible for shop inventory and recordkeeping.
* Ability to communicate, read and understand written text of a technical nature in order to answer questions, solve problems, make decisions and complete job tasks.
* Maintain a clean workspace and comply with all company safety procedures.
* Able to record and document repairs and tasks completed on pc or laptop.
