QUALIFICATIONS- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle usable for delivery.
- Operate all delivery equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare products.
- Navigate the delivery area using maps, GPS, and phone navigation; locate addresses, including multi‑story buildings.
- Deliver products by car to customers, including loading, unloading, and placing items in securing locations.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Maintain safe driving records and pass company background checks.
Orientation and on‑the‑job training are provided.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS- Comprehend and provide written instructions accurately.
- Communicate verbally with customers and coworkers, process orders over the phone and in person.
- Perform basic math accurately and quickly (may use a calculator).
- Provide correct monetary change.
- Use verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Use motor coordination combining eye and hand/finger movements to make precise, rapid movements.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Possess navigational skills for maps and GPS.
- Maintain safe driving record and comply with company standards.
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering or performing outdoor tasks.
- In‑store temperatures between 36°F and 90°F+ in some areas.
- Sudden temperature changes indoors and outdoors.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, fumes, hot surfaces, and mechanical parts.
- Cramped quarters such as walk‑in coolers.
- Potential exposure to hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or more.
- Talk and listen on telephone.
- Vision for near to mid‑range tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Can differentiate hot and cold surfaces.
- Far vision for driving and night vision for driving.
Direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, interact with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSDuring delivery, carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing stairs. Deliver pizzas within a designated area, often making several deliveries per shift. Travel between store and vehicle and to customer locations. May need to navigate five or more flights of stairs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Standing: Most tasks performed while standing.
- Walking: Short distances for short durations over various surfaces.
- Sitting: Paperwork typically completed in a desk or table area.
- Lifting: Bulk deliveries up to 50 pounds, load from floor to shelves up to 72” high.
- Carrying: Cars, cans, sauce, pizza dough trays.
- Pushing/Pulling: Trays on dollies or wheeled carts up to 30 lbs.
- Climbing: Infrequently navigate stairs or ladders for maintenance.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at pizza assembly station for 30–45 seconds at a time, repeated throughout the day.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally when stocking shelves.
- Reaching: Continuously up, down, forward; sometimes above 72” to turn ovens, change sign prices.
- Hand Tasks: Constant eye‑hand coordination; frequent use of forearms, wrists, pizza peel, cutter, cardboard box assembly.
- Equipment: Use pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
Requires quick mental calculations, monetary change, and clear communication.
