Description
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year. Day and night shifts available. We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Logistics Shift Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations during assigned shifts. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily distribution activities, ensure efficient inventory management, and maintain high standards of safety and process improvement. Your leadership will drive team performance, optimize warehouse workflows, and uphold compliance with industry regulations.
Duties- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and materials handling to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, fostering a positive work environment focused on safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation using Warehouse Management Systems such as AS400 or similar platforms.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to optimize warehouse distribution processes and implement process improvements for efficiency gains.
- Oversee forklift operations and heavy lifting tasks, ensuring all safety protocols are followed in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines, and conduct safety training sessions for team members.
- Collaborate with third‑party logistics providers (3PL) for shipping & receiving activities and ensure timely dispatch of goods.
- Maintain detailed records of shipments, inventory levels, and shift reports to support operational transparency and accountability.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor within a logistics or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse distribution, and materials handling procedures.
- Hands‑on experience operating forklifts and mechanical equipment; certification preferred.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), AS400, or similar platforms for inventory control.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast‑paced setting.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy lifting practices.
- Must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain company goal of zero accidents/incidents.
- Meet shipping and receiving accuracy of 99.8%.
- Meet inventory accuracy of 99.8%.
- Ensure daily housekeeping checklist is accurate and complete.
