PIT Operator

A PIT Order Picker is responsible for operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs) to efficiently and accurately fulfill customer orders by picking, moving, and loading products in a warehouse or distribution center. This role requires a combination of physical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines.

• Operating PIT Equipment - Safely and effectively operate various PIT equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other vehicles; locate and retrieve products based on order tickets or computer prompts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Loading and Unloading - Load and unload products onto delivery vehicles or into storage areas, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
• Inventory Management - Maintain accurate inventory records using scanning equipment and updating systems as needed.
• Safety and Compliance - Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and report any issues or hazards.
• Additional Duties - Assist with other warehouse tasks such as receiving shipments, stocking shelves, or performing general cleanup, as required.

• Physical Stamina - Must be able to stand, walk, and lift moderately heavy items for extended periods.
• Attention to Detail - Accuracy in picking, packing, and loading orders is crucial.
• Safety Awareness - Understanding and adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Operating PIT Equipment - Experience with various types of PIT equipment is desirable.
• Communication Skills - Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other warehouse staff.
• Teamwork - Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
