The position requires 15 hours a week with a variable schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Schedule is flexible with supervisor approval.
The Collaboration Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the mission of FIVE
18 Family Services by building communities of faithful relationships that ensure children are safe and families are restored. As part of the Community Collaboration Team, the Collaboration Coordinator helps to promote and grow the use of Care Portal in our region, to coordinate and facilitate the monthly community meeting called The Gathering, and to shepherd and steward relationships with Vision
30 Partners.
The Collaboration Coordinator cultivates meaningful partnerships that inspire the community to engage with vulnerable families, primarily through Care Portal. The Collaboration Coordinator works in the community and serves as a relationship builder, ambassador, trainer, and storyteller, ensuring every partnership aligns with the organization's mission and core values of Christ-centered compassion, evidence-based impact, and team-driven excellence.
The Collaboration Coordinator will also be assigned a role to fill within the Care Portal management system, modified for FIVE
18 Family Services as the Implementing Partner.
- Recruit new churches and organizations into Vision
30 and Care Portal initiatives, creating opportunities for alignment of mission for the needs of vulnerable children and families. - Promote collaboration between FIVE
18 teams and community organizations. - Build, cultivate, and strengthen relationships with local churches, pastors, ministry leaders, faith-based organizations, businesses, and community partners.
- Participate in weekly Community Collaboration Team strategy meetings and complete assigned action items.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and facilitating monthly Gathering meetings.
- Represent FIVE
18, Vision
30, and Care Portal at community events, agency meetings, resource fairs, and networking opportunities. - Foster collaboration in the entire kids and family eco-system of the region: churches, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, businesses, and community stakeholders.
- Identify and recruit new churches to join the Care Portal network, helping them catch the vision and take their first steps toward implementation
- Regularly communicate needs, updates, success stories, and opportunities for deeper involvement with church leaders and volunteers
- Support Church Response Teams in organizing and mobilizing their members to respond effectively and relationally to needs
- Collect and share stories of impact, track response outcomes, and ensure accurate reporting in the Care Portal platform; list requests provided by Vision
30 partners - Represent Care Portal in local events and gatherings, building relationships with ministry leaders, agencies, and community partners
- Attend at least 50% of quarterly All Staff meetings and monthly Town Hall meetings.
- Part-time employees work with their supervisor to identify annual SMART(er) goals; participate in the quarterly reset using the C-BOS training library.

- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with Care Portal or similar community collaboration systems preferred.
- Experience working with churches, volunteers, ministry, non-profits, or community partnership and engagement preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with churches, donors, volunteers, and community leaders.
- Knowledge of faith community culture.
- Ability to organize projects and manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong storytelling and public speaking abilities.
- Basic knowledge of community resources and nonprofit collaboration.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
