Brightpoint Community College invites applications for the position of Foundation Operations Coordinator

We seek a highly organized, detail-oriented, and service-focused individual to support the Foundation’s mission of securing philanthropic support to benefit the college and its students. The ideal candidate will be an energetic professional with strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills who thrives in a collaborative environment and who is passionate about the mission of the college. This position serves as a key member of the Foundation team, helping to ensure the efficient operation of Foundation programs and activities, including but not limited to:

  • Support Foundation Board governance and executive operations: Schedule and support committee meetings, prepare materials, manage communications, record minutes, track attendance, and provide administrative support to the Executive Director.
  • Support Foundation events and donor engagement: Support the planning and execution of donor, alumni, and scholarship events; manage registrations and RSVPs; assist with donor stewardship, recognition, and engagement activities. As a college employee, will also assist as needed with college events and programs, when directed.
  • Assist with Foundation Communications and Fundraising Efforts: Contribute to the development and distribution of newsletters, fundraising appeals, impact reports, scholarship stories, and other communications that advance philanthropic support for the college.
  • Assist with Gift Processing and Financial Administration: Process mail and donations, maintain financial records and procedures, support invoice and payment processing, and serve as backup for key Foundation financial functions.
  • Support Scholarship and Student Success Initiatives: Assist with scholarship communications, recipient profiles, donor stewardship materials, and promotion of scholarship opportunities to students.
  • Manage Foundation Office Operations: Oversee office supplies and promotional inventory, monitor shared phone and email accounts, coordinate facilities requests, maintain records, and support day-to-day Foundation operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience working in higher education, nonprofit organizations, fundraising, advancement, or board administration. Strong organizational and communication skills.

Successful completion and passing of a background check is required.

Additional Considerations:

Experience working in fundraising, donor relations, alumni relations.
