Health Advocates Network is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work at a Correctional Facility in Victoria, Virginia . This is a registry position with our company.
Pay Rate: $36 / hour
* W2
Shift Details:
- Days 8a-8:30p
- Nights 8p-8:30a
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Must have up to date credentials in the state of Virginia
- A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Proficiency in the English language is necessary for communication with other staff and patients. LPN must be able to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
Job Responsibilities:
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Provide companionship and basic care to patients
- Administer prescribed medications to patients
