Job Duties

Provide basic barber services to the resident population in accordance with agency policy.

(Afternoon/Evening hours)

Minimum Qualifications

* Possess valid Virginia license as a cosmetologist

* Proficient technical skills in basic barber/grooming services and with barber tools.

* Ability to: identify existing or potential scalp problems; establish and maintain effective communication with residents, co
- workers and facility staff; and ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical computations to meet documentation

and reporting requirements

* Fundamental knowledge of the principles, practices, services and techniques unique to a therapeutic community

environment.

* Knowledge, skills and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing (prefer basic word processing and computer

skills)

* Ability to use good judgment

* Ability to perform duties at a fast pace with frequent change

* Ability to interact with other professionals from various disciplines

* Ability to administer CPR and First Aid

* Available to work alternate work schedules (evenings, weekends and holidays)

Additional Considerations

Previous experience in long-term care setting.
