Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Virginia-licensed Nurse Practitioners for a locum tenens opportunity in an emergency department setting. This role offers a structured environment with consistent patient volume and collaborative clinical support.

Opportunity Highlights

• Emergency Medicine locum tenens
• Annual ED volume: 14,000
• General hospital outpatient setting
• Coverage: 1 PM to 9 PM shifts
• EMR:
  Meditech
• Active Virginia medical license required
• Credentialing for emergency department privileges
• Strong team support with 24 MD and 8 NPPA coverage daily

Schedule Details

• Start: ASAP, ongoing
• Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Coverage:
  Daily shifts, with flexibility to discuss further scheduling needs

Clinical Scope

• Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of emergency medical presentations
• Management of acute medical and traumatic cases
• Collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and hospital support teams
• Disposition, transfer, and discharge coordination
• Documentation and order entry within Meditech EMR

Requirements

• Active Virginia medical license
• DEA registration for Virginia
• ACLS certification
• CME and case logs from the past 2 years
• Valid driver’s license, malpractice documentation, and all relevant diplomas and training records
