The facility operates under a medically directed care team model where MDs supervise CRNAs at a 1:4 ratio. MDs occasionally perform their own cases and rare MD solo coverage. The hospital maintains modern anesthesia capabilities supporting diverse surgical specialties including general surgery, neurosurgical procedures, orthopedic cases, obstetrics, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, and endoscopic procedures.

Clinician's WorkdayThe CRNA will provide comprehensive anesthesia services during day shifts with multiple scheduling options including 8-, 10-, 12-, and 24-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Manage a broad case mix including general, neuro, ortho, OB, urology, GYN, ophthalmology, and endoscopy procedures within a medically directed care team model with MD supervision at a 1:4 MD‑to‑CRNA ratio.
- In‑house call is preferred with holiday shifts and holiday call coverage preferred; overtime is not expected but may be available based on volume.
- Core responsibilities:
pre‑anesthesia assessments, consent verification, patient education on anesthetic options and risks, induction, maintenance, emergence, physiologic monitoring, and clinical interventions as needed. - Maintain board certification, active RN license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current NBCRNA certification. Candidates needing to obtain a Virginia license are considered.
