American Medical Staffing is seeking a local contract Registered Nurse (RN) for a correctional assignment in Lawrenceville, VA.

• Location: Lawrenceville, VA
• Setting: Corrections facility
• Schedule: 36 hours per week comprised of 12‑hour shifts
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Pay: $71.91 per hour
• Employment Type: Local Contract

• Provide RN‑level direct patient care in a corrections setting, including medication administration, assessments, and coordination with the healthcare team.
• Apply core nursing skills such as vital sign monitoring, patient triage, documentation, and adherence to established correctional healthcare protocols.
• Support compliance‑focused workflows including accurate charting, shift handoffs, and readiness for emergency response processes common to facility operations.

• Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 2 years in a correctional or similar environment.
• Basic corrections nursing experience is required; additional credentials or skills may be considered a plus.
• Willingness to obtain or maintain State licensure as required.
