Duties May include the following:
- Performing physical assessments by interviewing, recording and interpreting the medical and social history of patients.
- Developing, implementing and coordinating all aspects of a comprehensive health care plan for patients with the collaboration of a supervising physician.
- Ordering lab tests and diagnostic procedures.
- Initiating referrals to specialized health care providers.
- Prescribing medication according to Federal and State guidelines.
- Maintaining current technical knowledge and seeking educational opportunities to enhance clinical practice & competency.
- Master's degree & certification as a FNP
- Current VA FNP License
- Current DEA License
