Would you like to be a part of a rapidly growing locally owned company with a commitment to quality patient care? James River Hospice is actively seeking a compassionate and highly committed Resource Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team!
You will provide compassionate care to General Inpatient Hospice (GIP) patients in hospital settings, while also supporting hospice patients in the community as needed. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patients and families receive exceptional, patient-centered end-of-life care
Schedule:
7 days on / 7 days off, 12-hour shifts (with both daytime and nighttime availability needed on weekends)
- Salary: $90,000 to $100,000 (Based on experience)

Your primary duties will include caring for our GIP hospice patients, completing patient assessments and care planning, and providing pain and symptom management. You will provide education and emotional support to patients and families while ensuring comfort and dignity at end of life. As a Resource RN, you will also help support our hospice team in the community with patient visits, admissions, and other clinical needs as needed.
Additional responsibilities include medication management, documentation, coordination of care, and patient advocacy.
- Must be a Registered Nurse with a current license to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- At least one year of hospice experience is required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable car available for use during work hours
