Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

• Active and current LPN license in the state of Virginia
• Previous experience or comfort working with school-age children is highly valued
• Flexibility for assignments that may require bus riding with students
• Competency in medical interventions such as seizure management, diabetes care, G-tube, and tracheostomy care
• Ability and willingness to assist with toileting and diapering as needed
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with educational staff, students, and families
• Dependability and dedication to a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medical care in accordance with student healthcare plans
• Provide daily support for students with a variety of medical needs
• Accompany students on bus rides and during transitions as necessary
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of care provided
• Communicate effectively with educational teams to ensure a safe learning environment
• Respond efficiently to emergencies and provide on-the-spot treatment
