The primary purpose of your jobis toassess resident’s needs, develop an individualized care plan, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care and supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our community, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or designee to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

You will also oversee the planning, organization, development, direction, and evaluation of the infection prevention and control program throughout the Community in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations.

This includes ensuring that current standards of practice related to infection prevention and control are incorporated in resident care and employee actions and identifying Community training needs based on infection surveillance and process/outcome measurement, developing training plans and materials, as well as evaluating efficacy of training provided.

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN or LPN within the state in which you work.

• Must possess a current CPR or BLS certification.

• Have completed (or complete within first week of hire) specialized training in infection prevention and control (ex. CDC’s infection and control modules or other qualified infection control education). Any additional state-specific training required for the position will be completed at the earliest available opportunity.

• Be qualified by education, training, experience certification, or a combination of these to meet the position requirements.

• Must be able to communicate in English and havethe abilityto follow verbal and written instructions.

• Must have basic computer skills and ability to navigate/learn to navigate various software programs, including Learning Management software and the electronic health record.

• Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment.
