Job Title

Maintenance Agent

Under the direction of the mayor or team leader, the agent is responsible for the maintenance of roads, buildings, landscaping, and green spaces. They perform landscaping work, including planting, creating, producing, and maintaining green spaces.

- Mandatory B license.

Skills:

• Maintain green spaces (master techniques for maintenance and landscaping of green spaces and vegetation).
• Prevent natural risks and accidents on site (fire, flooding, landslide, etc.).
• Recognize plants.
• Know and apply work safety rules.
• Prune shrubs and trees.

Know-how:

• Handle professional motorized equipment in compliance with safety rules.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Maintain green spaces (mowing lawns, treatment, watering, etc.).
• Create flower and shrub beds.
• Weed and treat flower beds and plantations.
• Create new green spaces and turfing.
• Monitor flora.
• Monitor, control, and maintain the functioning of playgrounds.
• Maintain cemeteries and schoolyards.
• Implement planting and earthworks according to provided plans.
• Participate in winter road viability.

It is possible to recruit for this position without a public service competition, as one of the grades indicated is an entry-level grade in category C that allows direct recruitment without a competition.

Art. L332-8 provision 5 of the General Public Service Code - A contract employee can be recruited for this position because it is a part-time position with a work quota less than 50%. The proposed contract cannot exceed three years, renewable up to a maximum of six years.
