More Than Management
As Medical Director, you won't be buried in paperwork. You'll be a practicing veterinarian who happens to lead.
Responsibilities- Setting the medical and surgical direction for a collaborative 5-doctor team
- Mentoring associates and fostering a culture where learning thrives
- Ensuring gold-standard care while managing the practical side of inventory and protocols
- Partnering with our Hospital Manager on recruiting top talent
- Supporting your team's passion projects and continuing education goals
- Leads by inspiration, not intimidation
- Balances clinical excellence with team development
- Genuinely enjoys client education and communication
- Wants to build something lasting in a community-focused practice
- 5 veterinarians on staff
- 2 LVTs and 8 vet assistants, with 3 currently studying for their LVT license
- Usually 2–3 DVMs on duty each day, with one DVM dedicated to handling scheduled surgeries
- Long history in the community; some employees are clients of the original owner
