Experienced Veterinary Assistant – Full Time
Location:
13821 Fribble Way, Midlothian, VA 23112
Compensation: $17–$20/hour (based on experience)
Schedule- Full‑time position
- Must be available for closing shifts until 8:00 PM
- Rotating Saturday shifts required

What We’re Looking For Required Experience- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a veterinary hospital
- Comfortable with animal restraint
- Familiar with vaccine protocols
- Able to discuss preventives with clients confidently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to obtain accurate patient histories
- Venipuncture skills preferred (willing to train)
- Positive attitude with willingness to learn and grow
- Open to coaching and constructive feedback
- Able to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Calm and efficient approach, able to handle a fast‑paced and stressful environment with composure
- Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset
- Provide essential patient care:
Assist the medical team with hands‑on care and ensure every animal is treated with compassion and respect - Be the go‑to support for the medical team:
Anticipate the needs of veterinarians and technicians to ensure a smooth, efficient, and collaborative workflow - Create a positive client experience:
Assist with scheduling, payments, and communications, always with a courteous and informative approach - Ensure a safe and clean environment:
Maintain the hospital, perform clinic upkeep and equipment maintenance to uphold high standards of care
