Veterinary Technician​/Assistant

• Assisting doctors and technicians in the exam rooms, treatment area and surgery
• Filling prescriptions
• Restraining pets for exams and treatments
• Cleaning hospital treatment and exam areas
• Collect samples (urine, blood, feces, etc.) and run necessary tests
• Administer medication prescribed by veterinarians (intravenous, intramuscular, oral, rectal, etc.)
• Prepping and monitoring patients for anesthesia
• Performing dental cleanings

• Passion for working with both animals and people.
• Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Remains calm and professional in high‑pressure situations.
• Proficiency with computer software.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.

Salary: $13‑$16/hour

A minimum of one year experience as a veterinary assistant and/or completion of veterinary assistant coursework.
