The Role
  • Small animal general practice position treating dogs and cats
  • Deliver preventative medicine, wellness examinations, and client education
  • Diagnose and manage medical cases using in-house laboratory, radiography, and ultrasound
  • Perform routine and soft tissue surgery
  • Perform dentistry with appropriate anaesthesia and monitoring
  • Manage urgent and emergency cases during scheduled hours
  • Provide inpatient and post-operative care where required
  • Utilise oxygen and transfusion capabilities for appropriate cases
  • Develop treatment plans and communicate options clearly with clients
  • Work closely with experienced Veterinary Technicians and Assistants
  • Participate in mentorship and clinical development
  • Weekday day/evening shifts with rotating Saturdays
  • No Sunday shifts
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent qualification
  • Eligible for Virginia veterinary licensure
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Comfortable managing a broad small animal caseload
  • Interest or experience in surgery and urgent care
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to participate in Saturday coverage and some evening shifts
