POSITIONOVERVIEW
The primary function of this position is to provide dependable support to the team while learning Southern Landscape Group's safety procedures, quality standards, equipment, properties, and methods of performing work. Entry‑Level Team Members are not expected to arrive with advanced landscaping knowledge or experience. They are expected to have a willingness to learn, follow direction, work safely, contribute positively to the team, and take pride in providing an exceptional experience for our clients.
Through hands‑on training and experience, the Entry‑Level Team Member will develop the skills necessary to operate basic landscape equipment and perform increasingly technical tasks, providing an opportunity to progress into Mowing, Landscape Care, Landscape, or Hardscape Technician positions.
JOB FUNCTIONS- Mowing turf using appropriate equipment after receiving training.
- Edging turf and landscape areas.
- String trimming around landscape features and areas inaccessible by mowers.
- Blowing and cleaning hard surfaces upon completion of work.
- Pulling weeds and assisting with landscape bed maintenance.
- Assisting with pruning and plant maintenance under the direction of an experienced team member.
- Assisting with seasonal cleanups, including bed cleanout, edging, mulch installation, and leaf removal.
- Assisting with snow removal as required.
- Preparing landscape beds.
- Moving and staging plants, soil, mulch, stone, and other materials.
- Assisting with plant and turf installation.
- Watering newly installed plants and turf.
- Assisting with drainage, edging, grading, and other landscape installation activities under supervision.
- Preparing and maintaining work areas.
- Moving, staging, and organizing construction materials.
- Assisting experienced team members with pavers, retaining walls, natural stone, drainage, and other hardscape installations as directed.

Time will be spent in an outdoor environment with limited ability to control noise, airborne contaminants, and temperature. Be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
The team member is expected to work the assigned hours at Southern Landscape Group from Monday through Friday as well as weekends & overtime as dictated by seasonal needs. This is an hourly wage…
