Job Description
The End-of-Line (EOL) Inspector serves as the final quality gate before finished windows and doors leave the facility. This role ensures all products meet corporate specifications, Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) criteria, and customer expectations. EOL Inspectors provide unbiased quality decisions, document results, prevent escapes, and support operations through real-time feedback.
Primary Inspection Duties
- Perform detailed final inspections using standardized tools, gauges, lighting, and visual criteria (including the 14-point inspection and CTQ items).
- Conduct both front and rear product reviews using approved setups (e.g., V-rack, backlighting, 160+ FtC lighting standards).
- Stamp approved products using assigned unique inspector , ensuring full traceability.
- Accurately document findings in designated digital or paper systems.
- Identify, classify, and communicate defects (minor, major, critical) immediately to operations for correction.
- Prevent the release of nonconforming products to customers.
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain strict adherence to corporate quality standards, EOL inspection guidelines, and itemized pass/fail criteria.
- Participate in ongoing EOL Calibration Training and annual recertification (as required by corporate guidelines).
- Support CFAs (Customer Facing Audits) and respond to issues with urgency.
- Maintain compliance with all documentation, traceability, and escalation procedures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Communicate directly with Production, Materials, Maintenance, and Quality teams regarding defects and systemic issues.
- Provide objective feedback to support corrective actions and process improvements.
- Participate in rotational EOL inspector scheduling as required by the site plan.
- Serve as a role model for accuracy, integrity, and responsibility.
- Demonstrate strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and professional communication skills.
- Uphold the Accountability Agreement associated with stamp usage.
- Minimum 3 months of experience as a Production Associate or Quality Technician within the company.
- Ability to pass a written and practical skills test covering: 14-point criteria, use of inspection tools, CTQ knowledge, documentation accuracy, proven ability to make independent final-quality decisions.
- Strong visual acuity and ability to work under high-intensity back/overhead lighting (≥160 FtC).
- Ability to remain objective in high-pace manufacturing environments.
- Performance Requirements:
No disciplinary actions or attendance issues within the past 60 days; positive performance record and reliability; written endorsement from both direct Supervisor and Quality Manager. - Behavioral Standards:
High sense of accountability and integrity; commitment to following standardized work without deviation; willingness to participate in continuous training and rotational assignments.
This role follows an a2-2-3 Schedule, 6PM-6AM.
