Quality Supervisor

Ameri Staff Employment & Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a Quality Supervisor for a direct hire opportunity with a manufacturing client in Chatham, VA
. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality systems, manufacturing environments, auditing, and continuous improvement while maintaining a hands‑on presence on the production floor.

• Direct Hire Opportunity
• Pay: $60,000–$90,000 annually (Based on Experience & Skill Level)

• Maintain a hands‑on approach to quality functions and support manufacturing operations daily.
• Develop and maintain incoming inspection processes for raw materials and production components.
• Upgrade and improve quality systems to ensure best practices are followed.
• Establish inspection procedures for new products and production processes.
• Schedule and conduct internal audits while documenting results and assigning audit responsibilities as needed.
• Issue and follow up on corrective action requests to resolve quality issues effectively.
• Coordinate and manage third‑party certification audits for Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
• Interface with customers, third‑party auditors, ETL inspectors, and UL inspectors during audits and inspections.
• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze customer complaints, vendor concerns, and internal quality issues while compiling reports and resolutions.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, and Logistics to ensure product quality standards are maintained.
• Write, revise, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and forms.
• Manage controlled documents, including environmental and quality management system documentation, nonconforming material reports, and deviations.
• Review and disposition nonconforming materials and customer returns.
• Maintain safety standards and good housekeeping practices throughout the facility.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required.
• Wire and cable industry experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 standards.
• Internal auditing certification preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of computer systems and laboratory testing equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience preferred.
• Experience working in a union environment preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
