Role Description

The Quality Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Meadowview, VA, reporting to the Chief Operations Officer. This position manages the quality team members and is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems to ensure products meet internal standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring production quality, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions, performing and overseeing inspections and audits, and maintaining documentation for quality processes.

The Quality Manager will collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall product reliability. This role also involves training team members on quality standards, supporting customer quality inquiries, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications
  • Experience with quality management systems, including development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Skills in inspection methods, testing procedures, and use of measurement tools for manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis, lead corrective and preventive actions, and use problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams).
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to electrical and energy-related manufacturing (e.g., ISO-based quality principles).
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with production, engineering, and supply chain teams on quality-related initiatives.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for documentation, reporting, and training personnel.
  • Proficiency with data analysis for quality metrics, trend identification, and process improvement recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electrical, energy, or precision components production.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
