The Role

As an Intake Technician, you'll serve as a critical link between incoming material acceptance, quality assurance programs, and production operations.

You'll help inspect incoming loads, collect samples, maintain accurate records, support compliance requirements, and assist with daily site operations. Your attention to detail helps ensure materials are received safely, processed correctly, and meet company and regulatory standards.

What You'll Do
Material Intake & Inspection
  • Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming loads
  • Collect and prepare material samples according to company procedures
  • Verify load information and support acceptance processes
  • Identify and communicate concerns regarding incoming materials
  • Maintain accurate receiving logs, inspection reports, and supporting documentation
Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Conduct sampling and testing activities as required
  • Assist with quality assurance monitoring and data collection
  • Record test results and maintain organized documentation
  • Support compliance with permits, regulations, and operating procedures
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting activities
Operations Support
  • Monitor and record site water usage and operational metrics
  • Help maintain clean, safe, and organized pit, pad, and tipping areas
  • Assist with work-in-progress materials and windrow establishment
  • Support material movement and daily operational activities
  • Perform routine housekeeping and site maintenance duties
Safety
  • Follow all company safety policies and environmental procedures
  • Maintain awareness around active equipment and vehicle traffic
  • Identify and report safety concerns
  • Participate in safety initiatives and corrective actions

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience in industrial operations, composting, agriculture, manufacturing, environmental services, waste management, or related industries preferred
  • Experience with inspections, sampling, quality control, or recordkeeping preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to accurately collect, record, and maintain operational data
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and data entry applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
