Position Summary

As an Internal Quality Auditor, you will independently plan and conduct audits to evaluate compliance and effectiveness across Dynamic Aviation's Quality Management System and operational processes. You will identify and document findings, evaluate corrective actions, and work across the organization to strengthen compliance, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently plan, prepare, and conduct internal audits of departments, processes, procedures, records, and operational activities
  • Develop audit scopes, plans, checklists, and sampling methods based on applicable company, customer, regulatory, and Quality Management System requirements
  • Evaluate compliance with company policies and procedures, FAA regulations, customer and contractual requirements, and applicable AS9100 and AS9110 standards
  • Review documents, records, technical data, and operational activities and conduct employee interviews to gather objective evidence and evaluate process conformity and effectiveness
  • Lead audit opening and closing discussions and communicate audit results to process owners, department leadership, and Quality leadership
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconformities, observations, and opportunities for improvement using clear and objective evidence
  • Review corrective action responses and root cause analyses and conduct follow-up activities to verify corrective actions have been implemented and are effective
  • Monitor audit findings and recurring issues to identify potential trends and communicate concerns to Quality leadership
  • Support customer, FAA, certification body, regulatory, and third-party audits by assisting with preparation, documentation, and follow-up activities
  • Maintain accurate audit reports, findings, corrective action records, and supporting documentation within the Quality Management System
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable company procedures, FAA regulations, customer requirements, and AS9100 and AS9110 Quality Management System requirements
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective action, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualification
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance, auditing, aviation maintenance, aerospace manufacturing, compliance, or a related field
  • Experience independently conducting process, compliance, or Quality Management System audits
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9110 Quality Management System requirements
  • General knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation quality requirements applicable to assigned operations
  • Ability to develop audit plans, gather objective evidence, document findings, and conduct audit follow-up activities
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies, procedures, technical documentation, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies, process gaps, and compliance concerns
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate audit findings professionally and objectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple audits and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to effectively navigate Quality Management System and ERP software
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, independence, and objectivity throughout the audit process
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Aviation, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • AS9100/AS9110 Internal Auditor training or other recognized internal auditor certification
  • Experience with in aviation maintenance, aerospace manufacturing, aircraft modification, or a Part 145 Repair Station
  • Experience supporting FAA, customer, regulatory, or certification body audits
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement methodologies
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel as required, typically less than 10%
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when reviewing sensitive company, customer, employee, or quality information
  • Ability to access aircraft hangars, maintenance facilities, manufacturing areas, and other operational environments as required to conduct audits
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances, airport credentials, or customer-specific qualifications as applicable
